6. The dust-free case The numerical integration is performed for 6 day starting from LT = 6:00 with motionless atmosphere whose temperature is horizontally uniform. The vertical profile of the initial temperature is taken from that of a 30 day run of a 1-D model which has the same representation of physical processes as those of the present 2-D model, except that the convection is parameterized as vertical diffusion.
